Saturday, March 8, 2002: Early Spring Ride to Lighthouse
I set off on a beautiful Spring-like day when it was near 60 degrees Fahrenheit. It was the first recreational ride of the season. I went down to the Lachine Lighthouse via the Lachine Canal Trail, and then back via old road through the factories. I saw people ice-fishing out on the ice, but did not go out myself as I was only wearing shoes and the ice surface was very wet. I explored some of the piers at the new marina. The ride lasted two hours: 12:30-14:30.
